The Story of US continues today with an episode on the Revolution. The colonies declare independence, taking on the might of the British Empire. Washington's army is near defeat, but new weapons and battle tactics turn the tide. Forged through revolution, a new nation is born.
J also completed episode 5 and 6 in the Great Courses - Understanding the World's Greatest Structures: Science and Innovation from Antiquity to Modernity.
J also spent time with Rosetta Stone French. He is really doing well with it.
Tuesday (12/13)
This was the last Old York field trip for the year. Not sure if we will continue next year as the kids seem to be growing tired of it and the long trip to York. Today WW II was discussed. World War II changed life for soldiers, families and citizens. Explore our exhibit on WWII, look at guns and uniforms used in battle, learn about the home front efforts of women and make parachutes to launch. Learn about what was in care packages sent to soldiers during the war.
Wednesday (12/14)
J spent time researching balsa wood and designs for his OM class. He also enjoyed some building exercises.
Today was M's cooking class at Measure Up Cooking with Kids. She loves this class.
Thursday (12/15)
Today was Future School lessons. J also worked on his Rosetta Stone French. There was no co-op as we have the dinner, show and dance on the 16th.
Friday (12/16)
Today is the day M has been really waiting for...the Dinner, Show and Dance end of session special. Don't they both look great!
Even P got into it singing the 12 Days of Homeschool
